Shared tablets and handhelds that stay under your control
Depot tablets and handhelds are shared, so passwords do not work. Fleetnyx pairs each device once with a one-time activation code, then staff sign in with their employee number and a PIN. You can see which person used which device, and switch a lost device off in one click.

Add a device, get a code
A manager adds a device in the web app and gets an eight character activation code. It works once, is never shown again and is unique across the whole platform.

Enter the workspace and the code on the tablet. The device then stays paired and the pairing is refreshed every time someone signs in, until the office makes a new code for it.

Managers set each person's PIN. It is never readable afterwards, repeated or straight-run PINs such as 0000 or 1234 are refused, and five wrong tries lock sign-in for ten minutes.
Not user accounts
Drivers and warehouse staff do not need a user account, so they are not counted as users. They can only use their own app, and nothing else in Fleetnyx.

A record of who used what
Every device keeps a history of who signed in and when, so you know which tablet a driver used and who last had it.
Switch off or pair again
Switch a lost or stolen device off to end any session on it at once, or make a new code to pair a replacement. The old pairing stops working immediately.
One address for every workspace
The apps use one web address for all customers. The person typing the activation code also types the workspace name, so there is nothing to configure per tablet.
Frequently asked questions
What if a tablet is lost?
Switch the device off in Fleetnyx. Anyone signed in on it is signed out at once and no new sign-ins are accepted. Make a new code when you pair a replacement.
Can the same person use several devices?
Yes. A PIN belongs to the person, not the device, so they can sign in on any paired device. The history shows which one they used.
Does it work in an Android WebView?
Yes. The driver and warehouse apps are plain web apps that run in any modern browser, so they can be wrapped in an Android WebView for a managed tablet.
Is it secure enough for shared devices?
A device must be paired with a one-time code before anyone can sign in on it, PINs are stored hashed, repeated wrong PINs lock the person out for a while, and a session only works while the device and the person are active.
