Warehouse temperature & cleaning checks

Temperature checks and cleaning schedules for food warehouses

Chillers and freezers need checking at set times every day, and the warehouse needs cleaning to a schedule. Fleetnyx assigns each task to a named person, checks they are on shift, records the reading and the photo, and tells you when something is missed.

The challenge

What makes it hard

  • Clipboards and missed rounds

Paper logs get filled in at the end of the day, or not at all, and nobody notices until an audit.

  • Readings with no follow-up

A reading is out of range but nobody records what was done about it.

  • Tasks given to people who are not in

A check is assigned to someone on their day off, and nobody does it.

With Fleetnyx

How it's solved

  • Recurring tasks with a checklist

Daily, weekly or monthly temperature checks and cleaning rounds, each with its own checklist, safe range and photo rule.

  • Out-of-range readings need a note

The reading is accepted, but the task cannot be completed until a note says what was done.

  • Shift warnings when you assign

Fleetnyx checks the warehouse roster for the day and time and warns you if the person is not working, and for repeating tasks checks the next four weeks.

  • Overdue alerts

The people you choose are emailed once when a task is still not done after it was due.

Frequently asked questions

Can I record different ranges for chillers and freezers?

Yes. Create a task type for each with its own range, for example 0 to 5 degrees for a chiller, and assign each as a daily task.

Is it a HACCP system?

No. It records the checks and gives you dated readings, notes and photos as evidence. Your own food safety management system and legal duties remain yours.
